We’re proud to feature the Centennial Community Recreation Association in this month’s Community Spotlight as they joined Coldest Night of the Year. Together, we reflect on sharing values of community care, and proactive leadership that makes a real difference.
A collective of volunteer groups of residents who are dedicated to the preservation, development and improvement of the Centennial community in east Scarborough plays an important role in our neighborhood, advocating for meaningful change on behalf of residents and ensuring community voices are represented. Beyond advocacy, they invest directly into the well-being of local organizations and plan events for all ages, including Winterfest, Summer Evening concerts and the Waterfront Festival.
CCRA donates funds to various groups and organizations. This year, CCRA is pleased to support Fernie Youth Services for the first time through the Coldest Night of the Year event.
By choosing to support Coldest Night of the Year 2026, CCRA contributed to more than a single event. Their support helps sustain the programs, safe spaces, and responsive services that youth can lean on when they need it.
Thank you, CCRA, for stepping forward.
