A place to sleep. Support when you need it. The feeling of being secure. For a lot of young men, that’s everything.

Fernie Youth Services’ Transition House meets young men where they are: precarious housing, food insecurity, and the mental weight that builds when life hasn’t been stable.

It’s not a typical house. It’s a space designed to support young men while they rebuild their footing. Under this roof, a young person can work on themselves, physically, mentally, and spiritually – because the basics are finally handled.

What Five Months Can Do

Sometimes the most powerful thing is simply hearing a young person say they feel better. From a young man’s words:

“It has completely improved my physical, mental, and spiritual health overall – This Transition house does a lot of important work for young people, and my own experience over the last five months is proof of that.”

Why This House Needs to Keep Going

Without a place like this, young men return to the same environments, the same instability, the same cycles.

Fernie’s Transition House fills the gap between crisis and stability. It gives young people the time and space to build essential life skills. It’s a meaningful foundation for young men, and a foundation needs support to hold.

Help us Hold the Foundation
