For many of the young people who walk through our doors, the Beat Builders program is a place where they can explore new talents, build friendships, brotherhood, and express themselves in ways they may not have had the opportunity to before. Your support allows young people to participate in barrier-free weekly programming, alongside dedicated and caring youth workers and mentors guiding them to relevant resources they need to grow and thrive.
Your investment in Beat Builders is an investment in young people and in the power of creativity to inspire confidence, hope, personal growth, all while nurturing their passion and creativity in music.
Inside Beat Builders:
Over the past few weeks, Beat Builders has continued to grow and flourish. Youth have been challenging themselves and developing their production skills, strengthening their lyrical writing, improving their breath control, and becoming more confident in the recording booth.
Weekly, participants step outside their comfort zones, experimenting with new ideas, and engage in meaningful conversations, building teamwork and supporting one another’s creative journeys.
The sense of community and connection within the program studio continues to grow, with participants encouraging each other, embracing constructive feedback, and celebrating each other’s wins and unique musical styles – every session reminds us how much Beat Builders is becoming a space for youth to just be themselves.
We are excited to see this all continue and are grateful to the Minto Greenberg Legacy Foundation for making it all possible.
